Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Anchor Step app, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using Anchor Step, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Anchor Step, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and Account Responsibilities

You must be at least the age of digital consent in your country, or have consent from a parent or legal guardian where required by law, and be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use Anchor Step.

If you use Anchor Step on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that organization.

  • Keep your account credentials secure.
  • Provide accurate information when required.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. License and Acceptable Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to use Anchor Step for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Anchor Step, except where expressly permitted by law.
  • Use Anchor Step to violate any laws or third-party rights.
  • Interfere with the operation or security of Anchor Step.
  • Use automated tools, including bots or scrapers, to overload, abuse, or extract data from our Service.
  • Use Anchor Step to send spam, malware, fraudulent content, or abusive or harassing content.
  • Bypass any technical limitations or access controls.
  • Use Anchor Step in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our systems or other users' access.

4. User Content

If you upload or share content through Anchor Step, such as comments, profile information, or other data, you retain ownership of your content.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce, adapt for technical formatting only, and display that content solely as necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

You are solely responsible for your content and confirm that you have all rights required to upload or share it.

5. Intellectual Property

Anchor Step and its trademarks, logos, software, designs, and content are owned by DotSail Tech Co., Limited or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except for the license granted in Section 3, these Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in Anchor Step.

6. Third-Party Services and Links

Anchor Step may integrate with or link to third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, availability, security, or policies of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Apple and Google are not responsible for support, maintenance, or warranty obligations related to Anchor Step beyond what is required under their own terms.

7. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to Anchor Step immediately, with or without notice, if:

  • You violate these Terms.
  • You create legal or security risk for us or other users.
  • You misuse the Service.

You may stop using Anchor Step at any time. Any provisions that should reasonably survive termination, including intellectual property, license limitations, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and dispute resolution, will remain in effect.

8. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anchor Step is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Availability or uninterrupted access
  • Accuracy or completeness of data

Anchor Step is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services. Do not rely on Anchor Step for medical decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DotSail Tech Co., Limited and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your use of Anchor Step.

Because the Service is provided to you free of charge, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to Anchor Step is zero ($0) to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection rights.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DotSail Tech Co., Limited, its affiliates, directors, employees, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to:

  • Your misuse of Anchor Step
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your infringement of any third-party rights

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If the changes are material, we will provide notice in the app or via our website. By continuing to use Anchor Step after the updated Terms take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Anchor Step shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If unresolved, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong, unless mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.

13. Severability, No Waiver, and Assignment

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.

14. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Network outages or platform interruptions
  • Acts of government
  • Natural disasters
  • Labor disputes
  • Failures of third-party services
